Oíche

A collaboration between Zoë, audio-visual artists The Cope, The Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Antwerp (KMSKA) and starring James Vu Anh Pham (Winner - National Dance Awards Critics Circle, Best Contemporary Dancer 2022), Oíche is a celebration of dichotomy and diversity. The film begins with the birth of the protagonist, The Dancer, in the old world, and follows him on a voyage of self discovery. As he works through the manifestations of his self doubt and self validation he is lead on a journey of celebration and liberation in a new world.

True Romance

True Romance, is the debut single and dance film from Dublin / Berlin based audio visual artists and producers The Cope. The work is a meditation on love, isolation and control. It was shot on location in Antwerp, Belgium and features a dance duet created by Irish choreographer Zoë Ashe-Browne

ASA

ASA is a duet created in collaboration with Australian-Irish dance artist Aaron Shaw for Dancer from the Dance: Festival of Irish Choreography 2021, in association with Irish Modern Dance Theatre. The piece explores the notion of gender norms within the context of national identity and cultural confines.

The Space Between Us

This piece reflects the pandemic that holds the world in its grasp. Exploring themes of sunk and unprocessed memories bubbling to the surface in isolation, the need for connectivity, and the rise and traction of social justice movements during the world’s first lockdown. ′′ The Space Between Us ′′ reflects the challenges and sham realities that, unwillingly, become the new norm.

Spiro

Commissioned for, and performed live at the Gent Festival of Flanders 2020. Spiro delves into themes of loneliness, isolation, and the need for connectivity.

Flux

Created in 2019 for Ballet Vlaanderen’s ‘Choreolab’ platform. This piece explores the theme of change and one’s relationship to the constant.
It has since been performed at the 2022 Limerick Dance Festival, the re-opening of the Kortrijk Schouwburg (Belgium), and as part of a triple bill for Valencia Dancing Forward.

Us

Created in 2018 through an Arts Council Ireland Dance Bursary and a supported residency from Dance Ireland. The piece explores the theme of emigration and the psyche of the outsider. It was programmed by Ballet Ireland in 2019 for their triple bill ‘Bold Moves’. This piece was further developed to be performed at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It received critical acclaim and numerous 4 and 5 star reviews.

Ballet Átha Cliath

Ballet Átha Cliath is a short dance film which was created by Howard Jones in 2016. The film serves as a visual love letter to Dublin and features three duets choreographed by Zoë.

La fille aux cheveux de lin

Research and development in 2014 with Emma Lister-Mannisto and Diarmaid O’Meara. This period of creation was supported by The Arts Council of Ireland and Dance Ireland.
